The Bible story of Abraham's servant who seek for a wife for Isaac. When the servant asks for a drink, Rebekah gives him a drink. Then she draws water for the camels. This was an answer to the servants prayer to reveal who should be Isaac's wife. This painting "Rebekah at the Well"was created first by Michael Deas in 1995. Because this image has been a favorite of mine I have recreated it as a study in figure, drapery and landscape. The above acrylic/ oil painting was painted by Dara Wells 2015.
